- Hard Work is a variation of the Skins Game. In Skins, each hole is worth an agreed-upon amount of money, and the player with the lowest score wins the hole and the bet amount. In case of a tie, the amount is carried over to the next hole.
- In Hard Work, however, the easier holes are worth less while the difficult ones are worth more.
- The group of players first rank the 18 holes from hardest to easiest and place bets on them accordingly. The players can either use the handicap ranking of the holes or come up with one themselves.
