- Perfecto is played over 18 holes and the player with the most points at the end of the round wins. However, earning points isn’t that easy in this game. 1 point is awarded to a player only when they achieve all three things; hit the fairway with their drive, hit the green in regulation, and take two or less putts to score a par or a birdie.
- If a player does all three things, they score a “perfecto” and get 1 point. Making a perfecto with a birdie gets you 2 points.
Variations:
- Many golfers only play perfecto over the last three holes of each nine i.e., holes 6-9 and 16-18.
- Perfecto can be a betting game. Just like points are doubled when scoring a perfecto with a birdie, the bet amount is also doubled. If making a perfecto was worth $5, then making a perfecto with a birdie would get you $10.
