- Pinnie, or pinnies, refers to the pin or flagstick and is a side bet game that automatically pays off when a golfer achieves the standard set for a pinnie. What is that standard? It is decided by the group of golfers before the round. The most common way of earning a pinnie is when a golfer hits their approach shot inside the length of the flagstick. In this case, a minimum length is usually decided for the approach shot. For example, a player only wins a pinnie if their approach was 100+ yards.
- Pinnies can be worth points or a specific amount of money which is decided before the game.
