- Russian Stableford is a tournament format played in pairs.
- In this game, both members of a team play their own balls throughout the round. However, only one score is counted for each hole which is calculated by multiplying the point total of the two players to determine the team score for that hole.
- The scoring in Russian Stableford is done as follows:
- 2 points for an eagle
- 2 points for a birdie
- 2 points for par
- 2 points for bogey
- 2 points for bogey or worse
Suppose Player A and Player B score a 2 and 2 on Hole 1. Then the team score will be:
2 x 2 = 4
So the final score for Hole 1 will be 4.
However, if one player scores a zero, then the team score will also be zero. For example, if Player A scores a 2 but Player B scores a 0, then
2 x 0 = 0
