- Splashies are side bets worth an agreed-upon value. A player wins a splashie if they make par on a hole despite hitting into a lake, pond, creek, or other body of water (otherwise known as penalty areas). If the splashie was worth $1, the player would get $1 from all other players in the group.
- In order to win a splashie, the ball has to be in the water. Just being inside the boundary of a penalty area does not count if the ball is still on land.
