  • The stealies bet is used with a closest-to-the-pin (KP) bet. When playing stealies, the losers of the closest-to-the-pin wager have the chance to “steal” the pot.
  • For example, a group of four players A, B, C, and D, agrees to a KP bet on each of the par-3s during the round. When the players hit their tee shots on the first par-3, player B is closest to the pin. So, player B wins the bet. However, players A, C, or D can steal the bet if one of them birdies the hole and player B is unable to. The birdie can be holed from anywhere on the course. If player B manages to make a birdie, they get to keep the bet
